Mostly posted for maugorn, since he sings it so well: Some interesting background to "The M.T.A. Song," a.k.a. "Charlie and the M.T.A." There's a whole verse that the Kingston Trio omitted, and the tune probably originated in the 19th century. And the song came from a Progressive Party mayoral campaign in the late 1940s.

Thirty seconds into "Iron Man," we determined that this movie is not cat-friendly. The first burst of gunfire startled the heck out of poor Pumpkin. He's still looking around doubtfully.
